For several years, Archives and Ponteix’ Historical Society did a thorough job. Going through hundreds of documents by organizing, classifying, preserving, if necessary destroying duplicates or expired documents: all of these actions are roughly summarizing the work of our two archivists.
Being archivist does not just happen. One becomes by dint of time, time to take time, and time to learn and to train appropriately.
Over the months, the Archives provided in a small place between four walls that seem to contain all the knowledge and wisdom accumulated over one hundred years of existence of our community.
We celebrated our centennial during the past summer. And we will celebrate until the end of this year.
